The Grand Prize was awarded to a multi-branch and multi-site team, bringing together employees from Jeumont Electric Maintenance, Leroux & Lotz Technologies and Leroux & Lotz Maintys. Their project aims at lowering down to zero the number of workplace accidents and occupational diseases, through the development of a common security culture throughout the Altawest Group, inside a global participatory and collaborative approach.
The all-female team grabbed the competition top spot ahead of a team from Inova, which was promoting an Internet app for refuse derived fuels energy recovery plant sizing, and a joint Leroux & Lotz Technologies/Jeumont Electric team, which was pushing forward a project on on-board residual energy hybrid recovery for ships.
The prize announcement session was held inside the wider framework of a “Technology Day”, which allowed all competition participants to meet and exchange together as well as with the jury members. They also attended interactive presentations given by R&D specialists from group branch companies Jeumont Electric and Leroux & Lotz Technologies.
